Can I sell my OnlyFans account later?

Short answer
Officially, no. The account is tied to your verified identity and the terms forbid transferring it — if it is noticed, the account is suspended, and any pending balance is suspended with it. What can change hands is what does not hang on an ID: the content and the reach you built off the platform.
Why it does not work
At verification you uploaded an ID and a selfie. The account therefore belongs not to an address or a username but to a person. Handing over the login has not sold the account — it has given someone else access to an account that still runs in your name.
That is not only a rules problem. It is your own exposure: whatever the buyer does there, they do under your name with your ID behind it.
What actually gets traded
When the industry talks about "selling an account", it usually means one of three other things:
The content. Footage can be sold or licensed where the rights clearly sit with you — and where nobody else appears in it.
The reach. An Instagram or TikTok account does not hang on an ID. Handing one over is possible, platform rules vary, and fans notice the change faster than people expect.
The name. An established stage name has value. Passing it on means somebody else works under your name — with everything that then appears under it.
What can be transferred and what cannot
| Transferable | Why | |
|---|---|---|
| The OnlyFans account | no | it is tied to an ID and a selfie, i.e. to a person |
| The content | yes, sold or licensed | if the rights are clearly yours and nobody else appears in it |
| An Instagram or TikTok account | technically yes | not tied to an ID; platform rules vary |
| The stage name | yes | but then somebody else keeps working under your name |
| The relationship with regular fans | no | and that is exactly what they pay for |
The last row is why the numbers almost always fall after a handover.
What a buyer is really paying for
Not the subscriber count but the recurring revenue — and that hangs on the person, not the profile. Which is exactly why the numbers fall after a handover: regulars pay for a relationship, and the relationship does not transfer.
Take over an account and let the fans notice, and within two months most of what you paid for is gone.
The clean alternative
Stop, secure your content, close the account properly — and sell separately what has value: the footage to a platform or agency, the reach to nobody, because without you it carries nothing. The order for that is in the guide on quitting.
