Short answer
Stay calm and read exactly what it says — a restriction is not a suspension, and neither is usually final. What helps is one factual appeal through the official channel, with evidence attached. What does not help: opening a second account. That is the step that turns a restriction into a permanent ban.
It is the moment everything stops: you log in and find a notice instead of your account. No access, no chat, no payout. If this is your income, you have none right now.

First, read it: restriction or suspension?

Platforms distinguish between several levels, and the wording tells you which one you are in:
- Feature restricted. One part stops working — mass messages, payouts, new posts. The rest keeps running. Usually the result of an automated check, often with no human involved yet.
- Account temporarily suspended. No access, but with a deadline or a request to supply something.
- Account permanently closed. The rarest level, and the only one where an appeal usually goes nowhere.
Screenshot the notice, with the date. The exact wording matters later — it nearly always names a reason, and the reason decides the route.
The common reasons
Almost every suspension traces back to a handful of causes:
Verification out of date or unclear. The ID has expired, the selfie does not match the document, or a re-check is due. This is the most common reason and also the fastest to resolve.

Payment irregularities. An unusual number of chargebacks, a subscriber using a stolen card, a sudden jump in revenue. Here it is not the platform suspending you but the payment processor behind it.
Content near the edge of the rules. What is allowed differs by platform and changes over time. A post that passed a year ago can trigger a review today.
Suspicion of a second account. Multiple accounts for the same person are prohibited almost everywhere — more on that below.
The first few hours: what you do
1. Do not open a second account. This is the single most important sentence here. A new account with the same identity, address or bank details will be recognised, and a resolvable restriction becomes a permanent ban — on both accounts.
2. Use the official channel. The support form or the address named in the notice. Not Instagram, not X, and not through a third party promising "contacts".
3. Write plainly. An appeal that works is short: account name, date of the notice, the reason given, and what you have to say about it. No outrage, no lawyer threats in the first message — that lands in the same queue, just further back.
4. Attach evidence. For verification questions: a valid document. For a second person: their release. For content: the post with its date and why it meets the rules.
5. Follow up once, not daily. A second message after a few days is normal. Writing daily pushes the case backwards, because each message can be counted as a new one.
What happens to your balance
The part that frightens people most — and the part to handle separately from the suspension. A balance you have already earned does not disappear because an account is suspended. It can be held until the case is resolved, and that takes time.
Two things help concretely:
- Raise the payout as its own matter. A separate, factual request referring to the balance at the time of the suspension.
- Document the figure. Screenshot the balance the moment you see the notice. Anyone discussing amounts later should have numbers.

The preparation that makes the difference
The honest part: a suspension cannot be ruled out. What can be ruled out is that it costs you everything.
Your audience is yours, not the platform's. If you are only reachable on one platform, losing the account means losing contact. A list elsewhere — a Telegram channel, an email address — is the only backup that survives a suspension. One caveat: payment still does not belong there.

Keep verification current. An ID that expires in three months becomes a problem in three months. Replacing it beforehand takes ten minutes.
Your own copies of everything. If your material only exists inside the platform, you lose it along with access.
