Switching OnlyFans agencies: how to tell it is time – and how to do it without a slump
3 min read · Updated on 2026-09-30
Short answer
Switching pays off when the numbers, the communication or the contract are not right – not because of one weak month. If the account is in your name, you keep subscribers, content and history; only the people running it change. The order: secure access and content, end the old arrangement cleanly, then start fresh – never two agencies at once.
Many creators stay too long with an agency that does not deliver, because switching looks risky. The risk is smaller than it seems – if the order is right.
How to tell it is time
- You never see numbers. No reporting, no overview of what came in during the month and from where.
- You do not hold the login details. Or the account's email address belongs to the agency.
- The money goes through the agency. The platform pays them, you get your share – whenever they decide.
- Your boundaries are not respected in the chat. You hear about promises you never made.
- Nobody can tell you who writes for you. In which language, with what training.
- There is no plan for reach. Subscribers come because you post, not because anyone does anything for it.
Not a reason: one weak month, a seasonal dip or a single campaign that went wrong. Income fluctuates; an agency should be judged over three or four months, not one.
What happens to your account
If it is yours, everything stays. Subscribers, content, message history and reviews belong to the account, not the agency. Only the people running it change. That is why the most important question before any switch is: is the account in your name, with your email address?
If it is not yours, sort that out first. How to get out of an agency contract has its own guide – including what to secure before you give notice.
Do not open a new account just to start over. The subscribers go with the old one. Why they cannot simply be taken along is covered next door.
Thinking about working with an agency? Applying takes two minutes – free of obligation and confidential.

The history stays, the knowledge often does not. The messages remain on the platform. What the old agency noted about your regular fans – who buys what, what someone likes – often sits in its own tools. Ask for it; if you do not get it, the new team reads through the history itself.
Your tone has to come along. Regular fans notice when the writing suddenly changes. A briefing on your language, your boundaries and your most important fans is the part of the handover that protects the most income.
Expect a short dip. The first weeks after a switch are onboarding. Knowing that in advance keeps you from quitting again after a fortnight.
The order
| Step | Why |
|---|---|
| 1. Login details, email address and two-factor moved to you | without access you are negotiating over something you do not have |
| 2. Back up copies of all content | access expires afterwards |
| 3. Read the contract: notice, form, what applies after it ends | sets the earliest clean date |
| 4. Give notice in writing, with proof of receipt | a phone call is no proof |
| 5. Ask for notes on regular fans | protects income through the handover |
| 6. Only then start with the new agency | two agencies on one account work against each other |
What to look for in the new one
The same points where the old one failed – checked before you sign. The list is in How to recognise a legitimate agency and What to check in the contract.
How we handle it
If you are coming from another agency, say so openly: we only start once the old arrangement has ended cleanly. With us the account stays yours, including login details and email address, the platform pays you directly, and there is no fixed term. You see your numbers in your portal, and your tone and boundaries are recorded for the team before the first chat.
